ISMI Licensed Test Service ProviderFACTS offers the Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturer three standard packages for the testing of automation functionality and implementation maturity. These packages are applicable for both process and metrology equipment. These offerings comply with the most current release of International SEMATECH testing methodology and operational scenarios. The BASIC PackageThe BASIC Testing Package from FACTS is a fixed price professional service offering that is best suited to an equipment manufacture that has an ongoing program of automation capability development and testing. FACTS will perform a single test activity on one test article and will provide a full assessment of the test object with a complete test report. This is our least expensive service offering but it may not be the best value proposition unless your automation software has previously achieved a high level of functional maturity. The STANDARD PackageThe STANDARD Test Package from FACTS is a fixed price professional service offering that represents the best value for manufacturers who are seeking to demonstrate that their tool meets the guidelines established by International SEMATECH for automation implementation maturity. FACTS will perform a full assessment of the test article with an initial test report, and a follow-up assessment of the same test article with a final test report within sixty days of the initial assessment. The STANDARD package from FACTS will give the equipment manufacture an opportunity to correct any deficiencies found during the initial assessment before presenting the test report to their customer. It will provide most equipment manufacturers with the best value and an overall lower cost than purchasing two or more individual BASIC packages. The PLUS PackageThe PLUS Testing Package from FACTS is a fixed price professional service offering that is best suited for an equipment manufacturer who has a tool that is engaged in the process of continuous automation software quality and/or functionality improvement. Customers who have purchased either the STANDARD or BASIC Package within the previous 60 days are eligible to purchase the PLUS Package. The PLUS Package will provide you with four test cycles a year on the same object previously tested using either our STANDARD or BASIC package. The test article’s automation software must not have undergone more than one significant revision or upgrade since a previous test evaluation was performed. Some IC Manufacturers require a complete revalidation of automation functionality for a tool that has undergone a significant automation software revision or upgrade, or they may require that the version of automation software shipped with the tool be exactly the same software version indicated on the test assessment report. If your customer has this procurement requirement, then this is the most cost effective test solution available.
